Maybe we can do something together with the HCM CYU? Stefan http://vietnamnews.vnagency.com.vn/2002-04/30/Stories/12.htm YOUTH LEND A HAND The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has labelled 2001-2002 the years for disadvantaged children, and as such has called on all members of society to make an effort to assist disadvantaged children, especially retarded children, Agent Orange victims and orphans. Many young residents have already donated their time to care programmes which aim to help about one million disabled children nation-wide. Last year, around 2.5 million students and pupils took part in programmes that involved such tasks as distributing medicines, providing health care, presenting gifts and helping disadvantaged children integrate into the community through entertainment activities. Meanwhile, 10,619 young pioneer groups have so far opened 763 classes, held 6,342 singing programmes and 4,075 sport contests for disadvantaged children. And the union has built centres for Agent Orange victims in Thai Binh and Quang Tri provinces with help from international organisations.
