The Test Task Group of the Unicode WG

The Task Group ("TG") compiles and provides Tests, which will be published on the Unicode-WG webpage. Members of ISOC-VN and everybody else interested is invited to run those tests and report the results for evaluation. The findings will be published on the Unicode-WG webpage and reported to the MoSTE's Unicode Group.

The task consists of:
- detecting and identifying possible problems with Unicode
- contributing facts to the ongoing discussion about normalization
regarding the Introduction of Unicode for Vietnamese in the Internet.

The corresponding Task Group concentrates therefore mainly on the
Internet-related features

- display
- printing
- finding/searching

in
- Web (including WebMail, Database Interfaces, Search Engines)
- eMail
- DNS
- common scripting languages in the Internet
- other services

It does not (or only peripherally) work on non-Internet related issues like
- input methods
- sorting
- hyphenation
- editing functions (e.g. word select on double-click, smart copy&paste)
- file names in office documents
- database functions
- dictionaries
- high-quality printing
- etc.
